Alternative VHS Covers

This is something that I have been meaning to discuss for quite some time now.

As a VHS lover, I love nothing more than to rummage through the odd charity shop and carboot looking for classic VHS tapes in their original boxes.
After each weekly haul I would have a good sort through and clean up my purchases, and every once in a while I would come across a tape (mostly ex-rental) that had an alternative cover on the back of the front cover. To non VHS loving people out there, this would be the equivalent of finding a £50 note inside your weekly payslip.

As most of you know, I own over 1,000 films on the greatest ever format, and to my knowledge I only own about 14 films with a bonus alternative cover inside.
I'm pretty sure I own more but it would take me days to check each case. If I do find others, i'll add them as I go.

I would love to know if anyone else owns any tapes with alternative covers inside. I'm pretty sure that this only happened with ex-rental cases but I may be wrong.

I would also like to know if this strange phenomena happened on cases in the NTSC format. On my recent visit to the States, it seemed to be a common thing that all tapes were lovingly wrapped in a cardboard carton, with only a select few given a safe bedding of a plastic clamshell.

My favourite alternative cover that I own, is from the classic 80's movie 'Lucas'. I also like the 'Edward Scissorhands' variant and I often switch it over from time to time just for shits and giggles.

This is one of my favourite things about VHS and something which i'd like to see more of.
